How long do Sculptra results last?

If you’d like to restore the fullness to your face, Sculptra can give you the plumper, youthful appearance you desire. Sculptra is an injectable facial rejuvenation procedure that addresses volume loss, and also tightens and lifts the skin. The effects achieved are subtle and natural looking, but how long do Sculptra results last.

Sculptra Aesthetic
Sculptra is an injectable cosmetic treatment made from poly-L-lactic acid. It is FDA cleared for treating deep wrinkles and folds, particularly nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and chin wrinkles.

How it works
Since Sculptra works by stimulating collagen, facial volume is restored gradually as additional collagen fibers are rebuilt. Sculptra is injected into the deep dermis and the poly-L-lactic particles are slowly absorbed by the body and trigger the production of collagen, which results in plumper skin over time. The added collagen makes the skin firmer, and also improves its elasticity.

How long do Sculptra results last
The results of Sculptra can last 2 years and longer in some cases. However, in order to achieve optimal results, patients should complete the recommended number of treatments. The results with Sculptra are not immediate, but improve over the following 4-8 weeks, as collagen is stimulated in the treated areas. Most patients require a series of 3 treatments done over a period of several months.

Sculptra should be injected by a properly trained injector in order to gain optimal results.
